Camps

Camp Wegesegum and Camp Rotary both make their homes in the beautiful wilderness of the region.

Camp Wegesegum

Nestled on the bend of the Salmon River in Chipman, New Brunswick, Camp Wegesegum has been a cherished destination for Christian camping since 1923. Guided by the Fundy St. Lawrence Dawning Waters Regional Council of the United Church of Canada and the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, this unique site offers breathtaking scenery, a tranquil Chapel in the pines, and a rich history of Christian community that has touched the hearts of countless campers throughout the years.

The development and oversight of our programming is entrusted to a devoted Board of Directors. This group is composed of representatives from the United Church, the Baptist Convention, and esteemed alumni who hold a deep commitment to preserving the values that have made our camp a cherished haven for generations.

Camp Rotary

Easter Seals New Brunswick hosts and operates Camp Rotary in Sunnyside Beach on Grand Lake. Camp Rotary is the only fully accessible overnight summer camp for New Brunswick children, youth, and adults with disabilities.

Camp Rotary has provided top-quality programs for over 70 years. Each year, we host hundreds of campers from across New Brunswick. Our programs are framed to ensure campers are surrounded with a judge-free environment designed with the independence, relationship building and the personal development of our campers in mind.

Our dedicated staff provides exceptional care and leadership. Our counsellor to camper ratio is 2-to-1, and our team is trained to meet the diverse medical, mobility, personal care, and nutritional needs of our campers. It is a lot of our campers’ first experience of being away from family and we pride ourselves on providing the necessary support and comfort for them to stay all week long!

Our camp offers several camp sessions, all separated by age. Rotary thrives on interactive and fun overnight camp experiences, including archery, art activities, swimming in our pool and the lake, canoeing, sustainability, and of course many camp songs and themed days!
