Once every five years New Brunswickers are asked to share their views on the issue of poverty and economic and social inclusion in New Brunswick, a plan to ensure that every New Brunswicker has the opportunity to thrive.

Consultations are currently underway and there are multiple ways to share your thoughts and ideas including through a 7 minute online questionnaire; public dialogues to explore and understand different points of view, and the submission of briefs on related issues.

For more information, check out nbtogether.ca and the discussion paper, Looking Back to Move Forward, an overview of the achievements of the past 12 years in poverty reduction and economic and social inclusion in New Brunswick.

Salmon River Bridge Update

The Contractor is currently working on the installation of the detour bridge supports located in the water.  In-stream pile driving is restricted in the month of December, therefore the Contractor will need to wait until January prior to continuing with the installation of the detour bridge structure.

Currently the detour bridge is anticipated to open in April 2024 with plans to keep the existing bridge in operation until that time.

Delays are a result of the time required to receive all the amended environmental permits due to the increased scope of work involved with the installation of the additional access platforms and the detour bridge.
